학교소개
리젠트 런던(Regent London)은 Regent Language Training에 의해 운영 되고 있는 전통있는 영어교육기관입니다. 무려 50년이라는 전통을 가지고 있는 영어 교육기관으로 세계적으로도 사립 어학원 중에서 손꼽히는 명문 어학원입니다.
현재 영국 내에서는 6개의 도시(London, Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton, Bournemouth, Edinburgh)에 학교를 가지고 있으며 현재의 본사는 이전 브라이튼(Brighton)에서 넘어와 옥스포드(Oxford) 센터가 본사역할을 하고 있습니다.

런던1존에 위치한 런던센터는 지하철역 Embankment 바로 옆에 위치하고 있고(도보 5분 거리), 4개의 런던 전철노선이 만나는 곳이라 교통이 매우 편리합니다. 또한 학교 바로 옆에 공원이 있어 충분한 휴식과 공부를 할 수 있습니다.
학교 바로 옆에 위치한 공원, 이곳에서 점심을 먹을 수 있고 여유있게 산책하기에도 아주 좋은 환경을 가지고 있다.

리젠트 런던의 가장 큰 특징이라면 교사들의 수준이 대단히 높다는 점입니다. Training in TEFL, Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language 티칭 관련 자격증 및 교육을 이수한 숙련된 교사들로 구성되어 있고 학생 개개인의 영어실력 향상을 위해 세심하게 관리하고 있습니다.

아주 현대적이고 화려한 시설은 아니지만 명문 학교답게 학생 수에 비해서 충분한 공간을 확보하고 있습니다.
항상 커피와 쿠키가 준비되어 있는 커피 라운지(Coffe Lounge)
도서관, 야외 테라스, 커피 라운지, 컴퓨터실 등 학교의 시설들을 여유있게 사용할 수 있고, 1년에 3일밖에 문을 닫지 않으므로 언제든지 학교에 나와서 공부할 수 있는 장점이 있습니다.
English World Courses
Regent 어학원의 일반영어 과정으로 영어사용 스킬과 자신감을 배양시켜 주는 코스입니다. 매주 15분씩 일대일 Personal Coaching을 통하여 학습목표와 진도에 대한 조언을 받을 수 있습니다.(on English World 33 and Exam Preparation programmes)
일반적인 어학원들은 45~50분 수업을 1레슨으로 운영하는 반면 Regent는 1레슨이 60분 수업으로 진행됩니다. 그러므로 45분 33레슨 과정은 Regent 기준으로는 25레슨(25시간)에 해당됩니다.
English World Courses는 주당 16.6시간, 25시간, 30시간으로 나누어 집니다. 수업 내용은 아래와 같습니다.

IELTS and Cambridge Exam Preparation
Regent 어학원은 IELTS와 Cambridge 시험준비반을 제공합니다.
IELTS 준비반은 주당 25시간의 수업을 받으며 1:1 수업 5시간을 포함하는 IELTS Combination 코스도 선택할 수 있습니다. 수업 시작일은 매주 월요일이며 최소 등록 기간은 2주입니다.
Cambridge 준비반은 주당 25시간의 수업을 받으며 FCE, CAE, CPE 시험을 준비할 수 있습니다. 시험일정에 따라서 수업이 시작하며 10주 코스로 운영됩니다.

기타 비용 및 참고 사항
환불 정책
- If the School receives the cancellation before the course starting date, the School will retain the deposit.
- After the course has started, a student must give 10 days’ written notice to the Principal of changes to or cancellation of a course. A cancellation fee equivalent to 1 week’s course fees will be charged. Refunds cannot be made for non-attendance, absence due to illness or any other cause.
- If a student wishes to be absent from the course for 1 or 2 weeks for the purposes of taking a holiday he/she must give the Principal at least 2 weeks’ notice in writing.
- Students who choose to exchange their original choice of course for one of greater value must pay the difference between the two at the time of requesting the upgrade.
- Any refund due when a course is changed or cancelled, or a holiday taken, will be paid to the person who paid for the student’s course at his/her home address at the end of the course. ‘End of the course’ here is defined as the last date of the course specified on the booking form (i.e. if a student books a 12 week course and decides to leave after 4 weeks he/she will not be refunded until 12 weeks after the start of the course).
- If a student is denied a student visa or a study permit and provides the School with a copy of the rejection letter on or before the first day of classes, the School will refund the course fee.
Change or Cancellation of a course by the School
Sometimes it is agreed between the School and a student that it would be beneficial for the student to be moved to another School course. When this happens only a course of at least equivalent cost will be offered by the School.
The School reserves the right to cancel a course, or make changes to course arrangements, without liability, if forced to do so for reasons beyond its control. If this happened, the School would seek to offer alternative arrangements, dates or venues.
If the School cancelled a course booked and paid for by a student in accordance with these terms other than for reasons beyond its control, and did not offer an alternative acceptable to the student, the School would pay compensation as follows:
- Where the cancellation is before the start of the course, compensation equal to the deposit paid by the student or
- Where the cancellation is after the start of the course, compensation equal to one week’s fees.
